I remember following these guys all over the uk in my mid to late teens !!! I was definitely in the superfan camp. Modern life will always remain one of the best British albums ever recorded. So many memories of drinking too much and taking E too often. Going to festivals all over Europe and living up every second of 90s pop culture. I was there when it started and blur will always have that special place inside me. No mobiles , no internet, no instant messaging and folk following every move u made. U enjoyed the experience and you didnāt need a picture to show the world. Didnāt matter what anyone else knew. I was living in those moments and if I was told I could go back and do it all again I would. Without thought. Glastonbury 98 seeing this lot on main stag full of E. after about 20 of us sat round campfire playing guitars and just soaking it all in. Was a moment in time and now itās gone. But Iāll never forget it. Even if I canāt remember half of it.
