This song gives me so many flashbacks to forgotten experiences I had back when I used to be a teenager. Like sneaking out of the house late at night to pick up my stepbrother/friends to do stupid things together, scoop the loop, and visit girls that we liked. Back in those days, life in general seemed so much more magical and thrilling. Sometimes when I reflect on my past, it feels like I'm not even living in the same dimension anymore.

Does anybody today consistently write pop songs as catchy, instantly memorable, gorgeous and inventive as Jack T? (not to mention playing everything but the drums). The guy's got 45 rpm ears (as they used to say). This song is simply the very best of a great clutch of tunes. Hats off, Mr. Tatum. BTW, i LOVE the acoustic guitar keeping time in the background - tasty.

Turn it up on headphones, and this entire album will transport you to various worlds for 3/4 of an hour. It’s at the very least, a minor masterpiece. It makes me a little sad to think Wild Nothing will likely never recreate that perfect storm of lyricism, continuity, eclecticism, harmony, and luscious dreamy sonic sound. We can hope.
