The fact that Nolan's two cinematographer who've had multiple collaborations with him since Memento (Following's cinematographer was Nolan himself), Wally Pfister (won for Inception) and Hoyte Van Hoytema are now Oscar winners for their cinematography work in a Nolan movie is quite amazing

Although Killers of the Flower Moon in my opinion also had exceptional cinematography, Hoyte's work with Oppenheimer is just outstanding on another level, everything is captured beautifully, and it made me appreciate black and white cinematography much more.

Interesting that Wally Phister shoots 5 Christopher Nolan movies getting nominated for 3 before winning for his sixth Nolan movie and 4th nomination overall.
Hoyte Van Hoytema on the other hand shoots 3 Christopher Nolan movies getting nominated for 1 before winning for his fourth Nolan Movie and 2nd nomination overall.

It was difficult to choose the work of Robbie Ryan in Poor Things, Rodrigo Prieto for Killers of the Flower Moon and Hoyte Van Hoytema for Oppenheimer, although all three of them shined, even between Robbie and Hoyte, Oppenheimer's cinematography is amazing, full of effects practical, the black and white IMAX and the amazing shots, well, it deserved it, right?
