Hard not to feel a bit sad when Anthony starts talking about Marseilles being a nice place to retire and imagining retirement.

"Detroit became too black for America to love" - Anthony felt the pain of others and showed love to everyone - You are dearly missed

Ripert is such a sweetheart, and it is so clear how much he loved Bourdain. I cannot imagine his suffering, the tragedy and trauma of Bourdain killing himself while with him and in France of all places.

After passing a lot of time in many region of France, I finally spent almost a month in Marseille for a project. I have never experienced such a fantastic city. It has all the best of French culture without the cooler, more formal, more uptight conservatism and uptightness of the rest of France. To find such an incredible Mediterranean culture, combined with the best of France was enchanting. It is outrageous how other parts of France misinterpret Marseille. There is a lot of racism behind their attitude towards the city. That is their loss. That way, they stay away and the city continues to be amazing.

How amazing, how warm hearted, how funny, how incredible, how genuine, and how sad at the same time...this is on film for prosperity, these times will never ever come around again. Salut to both maestro's!

That philosophical discourse on reincarnation while having a picnic was really something. That they both thought they were having the best life possible touched me in a way I can't describe.

It makes me so happy to see the playful banter between Eric and Anthony. I love the episodes the most when Eric is part of it.

They really had a great chemistry ,I can't imagine Ripert finding Anthony😢,I have been watching some programs lately ,and yes, there is a gloom, and tiredness in Bourdain..This is the call of death that calls all of us addicts, that lives in our blood, like a dangerous unconscious little vessel of self harm.

I met Anthony in Toronto a year before his death. We talked a long while. All he would do is talk about was his daughter. When the news came of his death I was in shock.
