A couple years after this movie came out, my family went out to dinner with my sisterās friend. At one point our waiter came up to us and saw my sisterās friend was wearing a Jurassic Park shirt and he told us that he was in Jurassic World as a baby Triceratops. We thought he was joking at first, but apparently he wasnāt. They bought in random people to play the baby dinosaurs.

So quick fact: The T-Rex in this and the next movies is the original from the first movie Jurassic Park! Rexy as fans call her was caught and brought back into captivity when Jurassic World was in development. You could see the scars from the Velociraptors she fought years ago. So make sure to cheer for her later!
ALSO, when you watch Jurassic World Dominion, I'd like to recommend the extended version! It adds new scenes and some mild context to Rexy and the antagonist to that movie. Basically they met before, but don't remember it.

Something that you may or may not have caught (they're "blink and you'll miss them" lines) is that in "Jurassic Park" Hammond mentions that he likes to be present when the dinosaurs hatch so he can imprint on them, "It helps them to trust me." Here, Owen mentions that he imprinted on the raptors when they were born which is why he is the only one that can "control" the raptors.

I could be wrong, but I think there was a theory that the raptors didn't actually immediately turn on Owen and the others after communicating with the Indominus. They were looking at Owen for approval after the Indominus communicated with them since he's their alpha, but because the other guys fired their weapons, the raptors took that as a threat and that's why they started attacking. But I don't think it's confirmed. It's just a fan theory, but I think it makes sense. Loved the reaction though!

Fun fact. Zara, the woman assigned to look after Zach and Gray did not use a stunt double for her character's death, she did the scene herself
That being said it's rather tragic what happened to her. Assigned to watch over a teen and a kid, only for them to ditch her, then gets tortured by Pteradons by being repeatedly dunked into the water before being swallowed by the Mosasaur, which isn't a nasty way to go considering that Mosasaurs have a second jaw inside their throats that they use to hold onto and tear their prey apart. All of that when she was going to be married to her fiance

On the official website they have little tidbits of lore. (Or had maybe, havenāt checked since this movie.) Such as all the dinos on Isla Sorna from 2 and 3 were moved to Nublar, so now just one dino island.
And Vic Hoskins team was called in to ātake careā of the 3 pteranadons that flew off of Sorna at the end of 3.

"Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should." - it's kind of the theme for the whole series. Ian Malcom was right.
