Getting into Van Der Graaf Generator takes time, but once you're hooked you will never stop listening to them. Scorched Earth, Killer, House With no Door, Wondering, My Room (Waiting For Wonderland), Meurglys III (The Songwriter's Guild), Pilgrims, Refugees and Hammill's solo material like Forsaken Gardens are just sublime, incredibly beautiful and atmospheric. Hammill's voice works more often than not. The other guys might not be so flashy, but their playing is certainly tasteful. Definitely in my top 10 bands of all time. Pawn Hearts may not be the most musical or melodic VDGG album, but it's very much appreciated. You need to have a mega brain and very strong vision to come up with something like Plague of the Lighthouse Keepers, or Man-Erg.

I didn't know what to expect from this review, I almost passed this one up but I was so surprised to see Pete laugh and bust a gut like I have never seen before. I laughed incredibly hard at so many of the reviews and comments. I think this is one of the best videos I have seen on this channel! I really did need a good laugh before going to bed.
