I used to have Sling paid but just didn't watch it that much, I had no idea they had expanded the free stuff I will check it out again as it has been years since I had Sling tv. Thanks for the great information Luke, glad you are back.

Luke, because of you, I decided to check out the Sling Freestream, and I love it. It is well organized and has a great interface. I especially love that you can pause, rewind, and fast forward LIVE TV.😁 That made me SUPER happy. Thank you!😊

You can integrate your antenna channels into Stream TV Freestream as well and record them if you have an AirTV DVR. As well as pause and rewind all the live channels with or without a DVR.

Freestream is great! I don't use it for the free channels. I use it mostly for my OTA channels via antenna. Anyone who is still paying for their local broadcast channels should come to their senses. :)

Here's my observations of Sling Freestream:
Pros:
1. Content is closer to "live" than some of its competitors (i.e. the news channels are 3 minutes behind on Pluto and Freevee).
2. Nice clean program guide.
Cons:
1. Bloated app compared to its competitors.
2. Questionable content choices ("Film Shorts" seems to air low-rent kids educational programming a lot). They've seemed to add some lesser content compared to its competitors (this might just be in the Dish Network DNA, though).
We'll see how they hold up against the "big guys" (Pluto, Tubi, Freevee, Roku). Sinclair has just about abandoned Stirr, so will Dish eventually do the same with Sling Freestream?

Please advise what is the best streaming service where I can watch MSNBC & the networks of NBC without having a cable service provider (other than for an Internet connection) and/ or have to pay a penny for a subscription. I see lots of other news networks, and other networks that call themselves “news” but aren’t (yes, I’m looking at you, Fox!) listed on PlutoTV, The Roku Channel, et al, but no MSNBC, CNBC, Telemundo, etc., aside from NBC News Now. Thanks!

I tried to access Freestream when I was paying for blue+total tv deal last month but it always said, Freestream not available right now.

I am a SlingTV Blue service customer, and that comes with all the Freeview channels. I actually watch some of those channels more like Scream box tv, MST3K,etc than the ones I pay for. However, in the last month, the Freeview channels have come up unavailable on my Blue tier for days at a time. I setup a separate free account for the guest room tv with different email etc, and checked it the last 2 times that my regular paid account showed those channels as unavailable. They were working fine. That is very frustrating.

Can I get local stations for ABC, CBS, ABC, FOX?

Hi, I signed up for the orange package. I had a gift card and could not get discount. When I saw bill at the end the amount went to $56.25 ! I called to find out and they said the fees are correct. I can not believe how anyone would pay for this. I also heard YouTube tv was adding fees to there services. Might be better on cable with out equipment
