The same shit happened to me as well. However, I simply unlocked all planets (except for the tournaments) after completing a random mission before Shellshock's final fight. Didn't do any save loading, I simply finished the stage and got the planet unlocked notification for every planet in a row.

Honestly I feel like this shouldn't be legal... there is no like cut scene trigger or you know from any other game. This is the only skip I've seen that has nothing to do with an in game trigger and everything to do with a pre saved file
