The kris or keris in the Indonesian and Malay languages, is an asymmetrical dagger with distinctive blade-patterning achieved through alternating laminations of iron and nickelous iron. Of Javanese origin, the kris is famous for its distinctive wavy blade, although many have straight blades as well, and is one of the weapons commonly used in the pencak silat martial art native to Indonesia, Malaysia, & Brunei.

Keris making in Indonesia, especially in Java, is very complicated, starting from determining the day, and weton also practice tirakat. Physically, the material of the keris also consists of several materials and don't forget the meteorite. thank you, greetings from Javanese people....

I love to see such ancient weapon designs made in such a traditional way, with a dremmel and angle grinder. Seriously though, these are beautiful weapons, and the first time I ever saw one I thought the owner was pulling my leg when he called it Chris.

Figuratively and literally a breathtaking knife! Your ability to manifest your creativity into such beautiful pieces and apparent deep understanding of related fields (ie. physics, chemistry, etc.) is inspiring. 👏

Making a "keris" actually requires one of the sacred processes that must be done, fasting. Thank you so much sir. From east Java, Mojopahit. 🙏😊

Me: “omg I wanna be a blacksmith just like this and make anything I want!” Also me: “oh but there’s so much work and I have to have so much knowledge and materials!” 😔
