In this video, I run through some of the common structures and features of philosophical texts that you'll encounter in Section 1 of the GAMSAT exam as well as some of the strategies that I used to help digest the information.

As I mention, Section 1 is not my strongest section so this is simply advice based on my own experience after a subscriber asked for some help in this area. Take from it, what you will

A huge amount of editing work went into this one, so if you enjoyed it, please like the video and subscribe for more if you haven't already!

Hey, I'm Jesse, I'm a professional private tutor and founder of Simplified Study Tutoring. Since 2011, I've been helping students take a simpler approach to their studies and educating people in anything from science and maths to English and economics. In March 2021 I sat the GAMSAT and achieved an 84 including a 100 in Section 3. Hopefully, that's credentials enough to give this video a good watchin'.

Thanks for this breakdown Jesse! Philosophical texts basically sounds like the first year Critical Thinking unit I took (which is reassuring).

Hey! Firstly thank you for the help. I have seen other videos from you and wanted to ask where were you able to access soo many acer questions as I saw somewhere that you had said you did near 2000 questions and most of them being ACER. I wanted to ask as I cannot find these resources and I keep running out of ACER material quite quickly.
