The thing about western classical music is true. I can't remember the song exactly ,but it's situated at the first position in Yo Yo Ma's catalogue. For the first time I listened, I didn't like it but, in another time. I involuntarily said,"Ah! Seems like directly from heaven."

The problem is i've got stuck in one taste map that doesn't encompass everything i like. It really only gives me hard rock and metal. I would like some classic rock, Electro, Dance, Folk, Classical And Rap to pop in there from time to time

Okay, here goes: love the topic you chose. However, I feel that I came out of this video knowing no more than when I started it. Could you please elaborate more on the science behind Spotify's Discover? There seems to be enough readable content out there, so if you compiled it and presented a more in-depth analysis I think you'd be on the right track.

My ears are being blasted with a god damn deathcore playlist every week for about 2 years now. All because I liked a few metal songs back then. The AI has not changed the genre at all despite me disliking every single Discover Weekly song I get.

Do you have to finish a song for Spotify to count it into it's algorithm? What if I listen to a song I like and I swap songs right when it has maybe 3 seconds left? Will it count the song in?

i wish there was something like an "offline discover weekly", where i can just type in a bunch of tunes i like, to get a recommendation. since i often have to search for music on spotify, that i'm not really enjoying personally, my weeklys are totally borked.

While I do love my discover weekly, I wish that they would make sure that the same songs don't appear multiple weeks in a row. I listen to discover weekly to get new songs.
