I have a top 10 list too. At this point I expect the following -
1. Morbidly obese elves.
2. Gandalf was the bad guy all along.
3. Sauron was misunderstood socialist trying to save the world.
4. Orcs are the actual underdog heroes, simply misunderstood born into slavery and fighting oppression.
5. Any and all credit for anything a male did, go to women who are the real heroes.
6. That there in fact no dwarf men, they are all women.
7. X female hero is the chosen one, more powerful than all the wizards, dragons, Sauron, and Tom Bombadil combined.
8. Male kings bad. All of them. Yes, even that one.
9. Middle Earth is Misogynist.
10. This series will be artificially propped up to be made to be so much more epic, important, all encompassing to make the other trilogies moot by comparison, with non-existant plots/characters inserted to undermine the original content and Tolkien's writings.
I am sure there is more. Feel free to add.

Lol, maybe Tolkien didn't include women in The Hobbit, because he wrote this book for his youngest pre-puberty sons? He did add women in LotR. And seriously, I'd rather have 3 well written female characters than 10 badly written ones. But as always, modern woke media is incapable of using the few brain cells they have.

I love how they keep banging on about little miss "piss & vinegar" Galadreal herself as being Young, angry, hot-headed & brash... Despite her not being in her early 20's but rapidly approaching her 2000's
I mean come on if you haven't found yourself in over 1500 years and are still angry, brash & full of piss then honestly you're not really going to change much over the next age... Yet somehow were supposed to believe miss piss here will grow to become the wise, wonderful & beloved elven queen she is 1000 years later during the events of the Fellowship of the ring!!

Whatever happens, and I'm not holding out much hope that things will improve, far from it. One thing that I'm absolutely sure of, is that there isn't ever going to be a world where woke movies, shows and culture are as successful and beloved as those of the past! No amount of fake news, endorsement, financial backing, shilling from grifters, emotional blackmail, smears, identity politics, and mental gymnastics, can change this!

It's amazing how little LotR vibes this show is giving me. Even the title thing on the wood board. Like, not seeing the Jackson LotR font there makes it feel very un-LotR, lol. That was the first thing I noticed when I saw "LotR - The War of the Rohirrim". The original Jackson LotR font made me instantly hyped for a new middle-earth adventure. It WAS LotR. I know Amazon is probs not allowed to use that font, but still. Such a small detail already connects me more to LotR than Amazons whole trailer.

i couldnt help but notice in the one article talking "the 10 great female LOTR characters" in the article the "journalist" states that harfoots were what hobbits were called during this age, instead of it being one tribe of hobbits along with fallohide and stoors. and also that there were no interactions between hobbits and the other races until some time into the third age.

A reply to these journalists;
1) read the books,
2) watch the Lord of the Rings Trilogy of movies
3) there's a strong possibility even The Hobbit trilogy will be better than Amazon's Rings of Power
Why do you ask?
1) they have bearded dwarven women
2) a diverse cast in Laketown
3) Smaug would like a cameođ´ó §ó ˘ó ˇó Źó łó ż

Just like how people want to flirt with Communism 'because it's never been done right', we've got self-proclaimed fans wondering: yeah but was Sauron wrong? Why didn't they give him a shot at subjucating all of Middle Earth, what's the worst that could happen? Maybe he ought to show us how he would dominate over everyone.

8:46 Tolkien, a male writer in a male-dominated era, literally had a female character turn the tides of one of the most important battles fought in the entire Third Age. He intentionally wove that into his story as something not even the most powerful males (neither man nor elf) could accomplish. An elf lord (Glorfindel) who was powerful enough to kill a balrog could not defeat the Witch King, only a woman could (with the help of Merry) because Tolkien wanted to illustrate that even the most insignificant or seemingly powerless people can play integral roles in saving an entire world from darkness. When taking the time period Tolkien was writing in into account, I cannot fathom why people claim he had poor female representation - it's ridiculous!! Then you get the story of Beren and Luthien, where the female is the hero of the story who has to save her lover (a warrior no less) from captivity. Tolkien's female representation isn't forced or cringe (maybe that's what these people want???) but heck, this was back in the 50s when housewives could be electroshocked or even lobotimised for being unhappy in their home situation!! He had no societal or cultural requirements to give women important roles in his texts, and he still did! It really frustrates me that these people don't give Tolkien more credit for the incredible female representation he did include which is arguably a lot more genuine than a lot of the forced trash we see in stories these days Y_Y
