Here's a little fun quiz. I've written the 12 verses of '12 days of Christmas' each in the style of different 20th Century Composers - and they get increasingly dissonant as the days go on! See how many you can guess, and don't forget to leave a comment with your guess on the bonus question!

the clues kinda indicate how hard it can be to make a living of composing

At the conservatory I teach at, my coworker composed a “12 Tones of Xmas” as well as did a rendition of 4’33” titled “Silentest Night” where they all stood on stage in Santa outfits for a very uncomfortable 4 minutes 😂😂😂 best Xmas ever!

OK. Nobody actually puts a piano on an iceberg to shoot a short segment for a YouTube video, so I have to say that's a pretty impressive bit of video editing.

The Steve Reich one being in a train station was a nice touch.

"Bolerian Rhapsody" at 1:57 is really enjoyable! I wouldn't mind listening to 15 minutes of it.

I believe the last one to be in the style of the famous David Bruce! But just a vague guess...

First thought the editing was genius, then wondered if David has been locked down too long.

It’s funny how the rhythm is the main thing keeping things within recognition

Dissonance 4: The first bar was not even over, when I quickly discerned Ravel's Bolero. It's so diatonic, with a repeating tempo, sprinkled with glimpses of the Spanish gypsy-like Phygarian scale, and no other musical structure to play with other than the crescendo.
