I really wasn’t a big fan of FFX when I first played it in 2001. But in 2020, I revisited it and it took on a completely different feeling. I cried so many times, especially in this scene.
The entire game tells what I think is the most relatable story an adult can understand. To get older you can become filed with so much hope for the journey of life, but you learn, when it’s too late, how much of it has been built on a lie.
Religion, educational institutions, government, the system we live in as people.
But we make it work, somehow. And that friendships and love for those around you become stronger than the systems that attempt to fool us. Our spirits are deep and we have to believe in the hero within all of us and keep fighting.
And idk about you but I needed that in 2020.
