Lucky Hank, starring Bob Odenkirk, premieres March 19 on AMC.

Season Four - Episode Thirteen: "Face Off"

Episode Description:
As Jesse faces police scrutiny for his comments to Andrea, Walt desperately plots to gain the upper-hand within his season-long game of wits with meth kingpin Gus.

Episode Overview:
As Walt tracks him down in the hospital waiting room to ask how their plan to kill Gus could have gone awry, Jesse is surprised when two detectives arrive to ask about the poison that is threatening the life of Andreaā€™s son Brock. Leaving Jesse to talk his way out of the sticky situation, Walt heads to Saulā€™s office where he finds his secretary Francesca frantically shredding anything that could link her boss to the drug ring. With Francesca demanding money in exchange for contacting Saul, Walt then heads home where he finds a pair of Gusā€™ hit men waiting. After using an elderly neighbor to distract them, he sneaks inside and recovers some cash from the crawl space hiding spot. Meanwhile, after calling Saul to intervene in the interrogation, Jesse decides to use what he knows about the feud with Tio Salamanca to draw Gus into a trap.

Because he hates Gus even more than he does Walt or Jesse, Tio agrees to help. Though the old man actually refuses say anything of value to the DEA, all Walt needs is for Gus to know that a meeting has taken place between Tio and Hank. So, unaware of what Walt has in store for him, Gus sends a henchman to make sure that Tioā€™s nursing home room isnā€™t under surveillance. Meanwhile, after learning that Brock is going to make it, Jesse is surprised to find that heā€™s been cleared of any suspicion in the poisoning. But before he can get back to the hospital room with the good news, heā€™s kidnapped by Gusā€™ thug and taken back to the lab where heā€™s forced continue working.

Once heā€™s been assured that the coast is clear, Gus heads inside the nursing home with plans to kill Tio. But before Gus and his sidekick can give him a lethal injection, Tio triggers a bomb that Walt rigged to his wheelchair, blowing the three of them to kingdom come. With Gus out of the way, all thatā€™s left for Walt to do is destroy the superlab. Making his way inside, he dispatches the guards and, with Jesseā€™s help, turns the laundry into an inferno that destroys any evidence of their involvement in the drug ring. Finally, as Jesse heads off to reunite with Andrea, a victorious Walt is left to reunite with his family as he ponders his future.

Gus hated Hector so much, he refused to die in the same room with him.

Imagine building your drug empire for 20 years, destroying your worst enemy and then get taken out by ex-chemistry teacher

I like how this scene shows what a genius walter is. He knew how smart gus is, so he used one thing that can blind such an intelligence, revenge. And he gave it both to gus and hector.

1:59 one of the few times Gus loses his cool and itā€™s because he realises heā€™s finally been bested.

Imagine the perspective of the nurses running towards him: They just see a skeleton-dude walking calmly out of a room, fix his tie and then collapse.

Fun fact: The reason Gus screams is because Hector used Morse code to call him the N word.

Love how Gus was so casual walking out at first, but then just kinda collapses at the end as if one side of his brain was initially like ā€œThis is fineā€ but then immediately the other side took over and was like ā€œoh sh*t Iā€™m dyingā€

I feel bad for the cameraman who was next to Salamanca's wheelchair who had to sacrifice himself for this scene. Dedication.

I love how Gus just casually strolls out after the explosion, makes you think for just a second he's as invincible as he thinks he is,then both Gus and the audience realize that half his fucking head is gone

I remember when I first saw this scene, and at 0:55 when Gus looks up & down at Hector, I thought for sure he would notice the bomb on the wheelchair. But itā€™s clear now Gus was so fueled by hate & revenge, he didnā€™t notice anything. Was just conjuring up his next insult. Brilliant storytelling

2:25 Iā€™ve rewatched this moment time and time again and only just realised that whenever he looked to his right, the ligaments of his missing eye also looks in that direction tooā€¦And if you pay even closer attention you can hear the squelching noise very faintly.

I love Hector's change in expression. He went from looking helplessly sad to absolutely pissed in an instant

edit: if you haven't finished the series i'd avoid these replies :) i'm new to the series, and i am so glad i was able to evade spoilers, because this scene was absolutely insane to me. one of the most well-written deaths of one of the best villains in media.

After hearing of Mark Margolisā€™ passing, this scene hits differently. Thank you for all the years of your amazing Performance on Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul as Hector Salamanca. You really have it your all and Blew us all away.

People can say what they want, But this scene with Hector finally getting his revenge on Gus and Hankā€™s death is the greatest scenes in the history of tv shows. Actual perfection

Crazy how Gus never showed emotion until you heard him scream before his death.
