i never found an equivalent fountain of so much intellectual stimulation and provocation as the words of Terence McKenna. I am an overeducated retired college professor affected by intellectual ADHD,, an 'eclectic' (not a good label in academia), who has absorbed everything like a take-no-prisoner mental vacuum cleaner. I digested most of the stuff I learned, inlcuding the philosophy of Ancient Greece in the original language, the philosophy of the Latin world, including Christianity (I also read Latin fluently), and many many other complex systems of thought and analysis.
And yet there is something in Terence that stands out. I begin to sense that he went where very few people had gone, but,, unlike his fellow travelers, he came back and was able to tell everyone where he had been and had seen. And most of all, what he had understood..
But the picky neurotic pedantic professor in me cannot let him get away with this error: at 12:00 he says the famous verse "life is a tale full of sound and fury...." from Hamlet. Sorry, no, it is from Macbeth.

A few years back I listened to whatever I could find on YT of McKenna’s lectures; what a mind, what a storyteller. I don’t think I’ve ever heard this one and it’s really great timing for you to share it as it synthesizes some research I’m doing independently on dreams, OBEs, and the afterlife. So glad it appeared in my feed. New subscriber. :)

"I'll try to be around and about. But if I'm not, then you know that I am behind your eyelids, and i'll meet you there." -Terence McKenna
