My band and I did a cover this at our county fair before lockdown went into effect. Such good fucking times have come and gone. I'm a senior in highschool and that day definitely goes down as one of the best nights of my senior year. Fellas, we've still got our lives to get back to at the end of this. Times are bad but they will get better. Let's make a pledge to ourselves that once this is all over we'll live life with more gratitude, humility and love for each other. If you're reading this, you've got this soldier, keep that chin up and hold onto that hope. There's always a light at the end of every tunnel of darkness. I love you.
Edit: Wash your damn hands boys and girls <3

When I had a chance
I could've held your hand
But I was young and then I blew every circumstance
Yet I still think
I dream of dancing, dancing with you, with you
And maybe even share a drink or two
While I tell you the truth
That I don't even care what this is for
As long as I get to share the floor
With you, with you... with you
In my troughts and dreams I do a little swayin' away
Swayin' away with you
Even if I know it'll never realize
Maybe one day I'll wake up
Maybe some day it'll be true
Maybe that day I'll be
I'll be
Dancing dancing with you, with you
And maybe even love you a little more
While we tango across the floor
And I don't even know when I'll see you again
I'll keep living this dream 'till the end
With you, with you... with you

Something brilliant I’ve noticed about this song is shortly after the lyrics finish and the instruments begin to close, you can hear some sort of weeping or staggered breathing. It’s almost as if the singer broke down from their reliving their mistake in their head. It’s only my interpretation and it can vary among others. It’s such a nice addition to the song because it’s boost the emotion the song already holds to finish it off. The instruments continuing on for those last thirty-ish seconds also probably represent how life goes on. So the singer may have stopped singing, however, their forced to continue moving forward in life. I may have been a bit off explaining my thoughts because I’m typing fast due to time sensitive business but that’s just another thing. I love this song.
