Sometimes we don't know what God is protecting us from. My ex stood me up for our introduction, a day he would officially meet my family and discuss the wedding. He apologized, I forgave him.
Eventually he walked out on me and married another lady. Today he is divorced because he couldn't keep his fists to himself.

If you don’t want to get married, or aren’t sure, you have to say so….the groom just not showing up on the day is truly awful and he utterly failed at being an adult.
