My parents arenāt as strict as some of these videos, but they are a lot more strict and judgmental with me than my brothers. I was allowed over at my best friend of 11 years for the first time at around 8 years of our friendship, while my older brother met someone online (that lived somewhat nearby) and was allowed over at his house after 3 months of knowing each other. It was insane. The only reason I wasnāt allowed over sooner? They didnāt really know her dad. Thatās it. They had met before, but they didnāt know him well. While my brotherās friend lived with his grandma but her and my parents had never met or talked before letting him over.

1. Donāt let you smoke (especially if your a minor, thatās ILLEGAL and a CRIME
2. Donāt let you underage drink (again, A CRIME)
And although their methods are likely extreme, we have to consider that SOME of these kids might have done things for their parents to implement this crazy rules/devices. Like maybe the kid was caught sneaking out or smth. Still, itās extreme, but the parents actions are understandable

Ten of my parents strict rules~ Keep in mind Iām 16 1.) Absolutely no social media. No TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Discord, Reddit; nothing. It was just 2-3 years ago I was even allowed YouTube. 2.) I have screentime. My screetime is set for 3 hours a day, and my phone automatically locks at 9:00PM every night. 3.) I have a tracker on my phone at all times, and it is checked frequently. 4.) I cannot download any apps without my parents permission. I donāt just mean I have to ask them if I can download an app, no. I mean that when I try to download something, due to parental controls it gives me two options. I can either āask in a messageā that sends a notification to my parents phone that allows them to deny or confirm the download; or āask in personā where I hand them my phone and they enter their password to allow the download. 5.) I am not allowed to change my phoneās password. My parents have to know it so they can get into my phone at any given moment. 6.) I am not allowed to close my bedroom door, ever, not even to change. If I am caught in my room with the door closed it will be taken off its hinges. 7.) I am not allowed in my room without good reason or for long periods of time. I can quickly grab something, but if I am in my room without good reason, it will be locked until I go to bed. 8.) I am not allowed to date, at all. 9.) I am not allowed to go to my friends house, and my friends are not allowed over. Iām not allowed to hangout with my friends outside of school in general. Iām not even allowed to attend my friends birthday parties. 10.) If my younger sister breaks any rules, or disobeys them, and I do not inform my parents, I am also punished. Keep in mind this is over petty things. Recently I got into trouble because I was studying for a test and did not realize my sister was hanging out in her room, so I was punished.
