Hi 👋 Im viewing from New Zealand. I like Talk Talk , they were one of my favorite groups of the 1980s. I bought their album Spirit of Eden , back in 1986. I think thats right , im in my sixties now and my memory isnt all that good anymore.

My favourite Queen is the Queen 2 - must have played that to death over the years - nice find getting the BBC on vinyl - I’ve got the CD 💿 boo!

Hello George - your mention of obscure “hard rock” has me asking if you have yet to sample the absolute killer ‘74 LP “Space Amazon” by the US band Pandora?
You owe it to yourself if you have not yet checked this out. Very impressive for a debut.

Space Amazon (Pandora) is a very well polished production, whereas Children of the Lord (Silver) must be listened to closely with a need for re-mastering (the stuff is all there, you just have to listen carefully)!

Another good one George, I too remember renting cassettes, and even UFO vinyl way back when, from the library. Cheap way of getting copies of stuff when, like you said, not everything was available at your fingertips. I do miss that to a certain extent. You always knew your mates by who had what!

I do quite like the Groundhogs, Thank Christ for the Bomb is one i'm after...Bob Mortimer aye??..you really can't beat early Queen when they were a fantastically visceral hard rock band.
After Night At the Opera i can take or leave their albums bar some great singles.

A neighbour got cassettes from the library for me - Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and Yes. Then I had some money to buy albums from 1974.
