The solution for me was bizarrely simple. After repeatedly getting the "CPU not supported message", i manually downloaded Cubase 13 from the website, unzipped the package first (that is an important step, don't try to run the setup from inside the zip), then it installed fine. Bravo Steinberg!

A problem solved, but a problem remains. Cubase 13 Pro with an AMD graphics card runs very unstable with the current drivers. an older one fixes the problem. It's a shame, but it will soon be time to switch to Mac.

I totally forgot about this problem ..😮
My conputer died and just having a new one built with the new i7 so i was panicking when i remembered this.
Hopefully steinberg has fixed it

I had a tower built specifically for Cubase. Unfortunately, I was a victim to this debacle as I run Windows 10 and an Intel Hybrid i12700k. I had my e-cores turned off per their service note, but dropouts continued. I then decided to de-select my Cubase 12 option, "Release Driver when Application is in Background", thinking it would be an e-core task. Result: no more dropouts. Still unclear if it was my hybrid CPU or an ASIO issue, but Cubase stays up now, and with no performance penalty with my relatively small projects.
Steinberg really never announced the problem, only offered workarounds as a solution to it, so like me, so many were caught out.

I am running Cubase 13.0.20 on a system with an Intel Core i9 14900K (14th Gen) and all seems to be working perfectly!

I'm trying to upgrade my computer but I'm still on Cubase 12... Would it be a thing? I don't want to upgrade to 13 just to pay for their bugs .

The newest M3 Pro (not the M3 Max!) also suffers from this. The performance of the M3 Pro is actually worse compared to the previous generation because the M3 Pro has more efficiency cores than performance cores (which was the other way around on the M1 and M2). So if you want to use the M3 for music production you need to go with the big boy, the M3 Max, which has more performance cores. Oh well …

AMD works very very well, I'd say its the preferred chip for Cubase...

Just go on spending more from ur hard earned fund to upgrade ur hardwares etc..

I use macbook air m2, 24 gig and the performance is amazing. I'll never go back to PC.
