My dad’s favourite film — we had the Love Theme at his funeral 10 years ago. And I always come back to it from time to time; as the years go on and I start to grasp the truths of life more myself, and youth becomes adulthood, Cinema Paradiso means more and more.

I come to watch this everyday, literally, I’m only 18, but my heart and soul feel like they belong to those times, when love was so strong that not only you could feel it that well, but it was so strong you could almost touch it, a masterpiece, there isn’t a word big enough to describe the art and the music of this film, anytime I feel nostalgic and I see the world I love in, I watch this, this is my world, my country, my Sicily, my love😔🥲

This movie was a punch in the face for me. just around that time my girlfriend of the time went away for a very similar story. I found her after 3 years and now she is my wife and we have a 30 year old daughter, and we are happy .
Never give up, it doesn't necessarily end badly.
