This is my favorite game of all time. Played the hell out of it as a kid and got 101% twice.
The characters are so memorable. Its a shame how Lanky, Chunky and Tiny seem to be forgotten.

This game gets way too much flack now. I think the variety of characters, for the time, was impressive and the bananas (main collectable) are implemented around them are done well.

As a major Hip Hop head I personally think the DK Rap is incredible.
The subtle switch up on the production for every Kong & their personality shining through for each of their verses is great.
It definitely harkens back to classic 80's Run DMC/Beastie Boys style of Rap, which brings the cheese factor in full effect [especially if you are younger and listening to it for the first time in the 2000's] but that's part of it's charm!

I loved this game as a kid, i think it was the kongs personality that did it, they were just so likeable

I love DK64 so much. I know it has it's issues but it's just so much fun to me and that's all that matters.

As a kid my mom quite literally told me I couldnāt play Donkey Kong 64 because it was ābrokenā so I never tried it but in reality she just wanted to complete it at 100% without me deleting or messing up shit and years later I finally understood why lmao
