Hi! I tried translating the song in English. There are some old Latvian words and sayings so the translation isn't entirely correct. For the context, Līgo (and Jāņi) is celebration of pagan origin that is still celebrated to this day among Latvians. That's the summer solstice-the point of the year when days are the longest and nights are the shortest.
Villaine is a big wool scarf, blanket for the shoulders that is a part of Lavian national costume.
Trying on my mother's shoes,
Trying on my mother's villaine ';
There was no much time left until
I sit in the marriage sleigh.
I won’t cut barley in the dew,
There’s time when the sun is out.
I won’t merry as a young girl
There’s enough time in my lifetime.
Let’s sing now, sisters,
While we’re all here in this place!
Who knows where the other years we will each spend the Līgo.
Carry on, sister, go whenever you want to!
Not in the spring though.
In the spring the folk man
makes the heather flower beer.
I wasn’t grown up
Nor mature enough,
The people were already pouring
the marriage money over my body.
Let’s sing now, sisters,
While we’re all here in this place!
Let’s sing now, sisters,
While we’re all here in this place!
Who knows where the other years we will each spend the Līgo.
Who knows where the other years we will each spend the Līgo.

Direct translation:
Latvian folk songs are in rows of 4. This song has 5 folk songs, one of which repeats 3 times (7x 4 rows), and each has it's own meaning. I have translated the directly (word by word) and the explained meaning.
1) Laikā manim mātes kurpes,
(in) time (for) me mothers shoes
Laikā mātes villainīt';
(in) time mothers shoulder cover
Tik vien laika vēl nebija
Only time yet wasn't
Sēsties tautu kamanās.
Sit (in) peoples sleigh
The girl is now grown and she fits her mothers clothing, however she is not yet ready (either doesn't want or she has developed early and is not therefore physically ready) to be announced as "looking for husband".
2) Nepļauš' miežus rasiņā,
Will not mow barley (in) dew
Gan ir laika saulītē;
(When) have time (in) sun.
Neieš' jauna tautiņās,
Will not go young (in) people
Gan ir laika mūžiņā.
(When) have time (in) life
Means, don't rush in life, if you know that there is better suited time to do what's expected of you. It's like now- society puts their expectations on you, but you are not ready- so, don't. There will be better time.
3) Sadziedami mēs, māsiņas,
Sing (together) we, sisters
Kamēr vienā vietiņā;
Whilst (in) one place
Kas to zina citu gadu,
Who that knows another year
Kur mēs kura līgosim.
Where we who (will) celebrate midsummer.
The girls suspect that at least one of them will be married next year and therefore will not be able to celebrate together. Enjoy the moment and give it the best- you don't know where you will be tomorrow or in a years time.
4) Ej, māsiņa, kad iedama,
Go, sister, when go
Pavasari vien neej,
Spring only don't go
Pavasari tautu dēls
(In) spring peoples son
Viršu ziedu alu tais'.
heather flower ale makes.
It's a warning to girls that going alone for walk in spring is not good idea, because boys (who are getting ready to be married) are making ale / beer and will get drunk. Don't let your imagination wild- only teasing is involved- which is enough to annoy any Latvian girl. Latvian girl only accepts teasing from a man she intends to marry.
5) Es nebiju uzaugusi,
I was not grown
Ne prātā ņēmusies,
nor in mind grown
Jau tautiņas naudu bēra
Alrady people money pour
Pāri manu augumiņ'.
over my body.
The girl is not yet grown- both, body and mind, - to be ready for marriage, but people already wished her to be married (either her own family or boy's family, who wanted to marry her)
6) Sadziedami mēs, māsiņas,
Sing (together) we, sisters
Kamēr vienā vietiņā;
Whilst (in) one place
Kas to zina citu gadu,
Who that knows another year
Kur mēs kura līgosim.
Where we who (will) celebrate midsummer.
The girls suspect that at least one of them will be married next year and therefore will not be able to celebrate together. Enjoy the moment and give it the best- you don't know where you will be tomorrow or in a years time
7) Sadziedami mēs, māsiņas,
Sing (together) we, sisters
Kamēr vienā vietiņā;
Whilst (in) one place
Kas to zina citu gadu,
Who that knows another year
Kur mēs kura līgosim.
Where we who (will) celebrate midsummer.
as above
