Does anyone ever consider that someone is putting this stuff on our food, or it is a lie.

Isn't it ironic how these recalls just seem to be happening so much more the last 3 years?

Dano they just issued another e coli beef recall tonight, 16,000 pounds, I had to go look because I had Walmart Angus burgers in the freezer bought Sunday.  "More than 16,000 pounds of raw ground beef are under recall, the USDA announced Wednesday, due to possible E. coli contamination. The recall was issued by Cargill Meat Solutions, a Pennsylvania-based company"

We would be shocked if we knew just how many of the foods we buy are contaminated,as well as how it is processed. Kind of troubling.

I worry about the bulk containers... people reach into those and help themselves without washing their hands.

Plan to garden if you even have small space. I planted some rows of lettuce, green beans, rhubarb, swiss chard, beets, carrots. I planted tomatoes in pots, and cucumbers too. we had fresh veggies all summer. I plan to grow peppers this summer, and add to my herbs;.

It's Over! "Over! Nothing is over until we decide, Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell No! and it ain't over now" ( John Belushi Animal House) Just trying to find some humor in what appears to be a growing problem. Keep up the good stuff and Book em Danno!

Here’s my guess: People are working in the orchards, far away from any “facilities.” The workers are supplied with Port-a-potties, but there is no running hot water and soap. Would hand sanitizer kill the e-coli? I’m not sure…

The cantaloupe problem was likely because they didn't wash them before cutting them. That bacteria then gets on the fruit. If they don't refrigerate it right away it starts growing.

Sad to say.. with all the recalls , so many everyday, it's like the nearest toxic waste dump is none other than your local grocery stores. It is so maddening! Many thanks for keeping us all informed!
