The immediate first notes of this song already had me shook.

I've been listening this song (and others) for nearly a year now and until this day I still think this song is about the book City Of Glass. I mean, to those who have read it can tell that the story in the book and in the song is kinda the same. I'm not saying this was created specifically for Shadowhunters though. I just think it's very similar like "City made of thin glass" (The city), "Can't tell good and evil apart" (Sebastian), "Eyes in the back of our heads" (Yet again Sebastian because he was a spy), "When it all goes up in flames" (When Sebastian attacked City Of Glass) and "Only shadows there dwell we are" (Shadowhunters). Of course this is just what I think. Overall this is a GREAT song and I can't wait for Ruelle's new ep :)
