I used to sing this when I was younger without understanding the meaning of the music, and now I'm here because I'm at the phase of my life where I am very determined to reach my dreams no matter how many mountains I'd have to move. If you're reading this, always remember that success is the product of your continuous efforts to reach your goals, and failure is part of the climb so keep going. You can do it, I believe in you. :)
March 28, 2024: I wrote this two years ago during the most challenging time of my life. I was in a toxic home and I didn't have a stable job to move out just yet. I got rejected at my dream job (marketing) so I improved my skills, reapplied after six months and finally got in. I'm still working with the same company until now. Because of this, I was able to move out last July 2023 and have been living on my own since. I've never felt so free and at peace. I am content and grateful with the life I have now. But two years ago, I was so sure of who I was and what I want to be but I just felt so lost a few months ago. I explored outside my 9-5 and the finance industry really sparked my interest. I have never seen myself being a financial advisor, but educating people on financial literacy was one of the most fulfilling things I have done. Life is indeed full of surprises. Your goals two years ago might not align with who you are anymore right now, and it's okay. Change is okay. And I think that at the end of the day, I am just grateful because I have the privilege to explore, get to know myself better, and I have the capacity to learn from experiences. Feeling lost is okay, having a change of heart is also okay. :)

I sang this at my last choir performance Infront of my highschool and broke down crying after because this song made me think about all the obstacles I had to face to where I am now and the most painful memory of all, my mother dieing of covid complications. I was told after that I was to come back to my high school at least once a year and sing for the kids and ever since they've all be supportive and just an amazing audience.

2000s were when masterpieces were written. The Climb, When I Look At You, and What Dreams Are Made Of are absolute priceless songs that I can come back to at 24. I'm still young, but I've gone through so much hardships abuse and betrayals by people I thought were my friends and I find these older songs so beautiful and relatable.
