Disclaimer: I am a professional hairdresser, I completely forgot to say because I talk about it so often on my channel, but just for anyone that’s new here, I am a professional and I’m just showing what works for me :) x

Welcome back to my channel, where today I'll be sharing with you how I transformed my hair from brown to blonde using the back to back slice highlighting technique. In this video, I'll be taking you through a detailed step-by-step process on how I highlighted my hair, the products I used, and why I chose L'Oreal Studio Blonde 8 Multi-Techniques to achieve a natural-looking blonde colour.

Products used:
Olaplex amzn.to/3UG0lZB amzn.to/3zZUZyQ
L'Oreal Studio Blonde 8 Multi-Techniques: amzn.to/3UEbvOx
20 Volume Developer: amzn.to/3MJHQSg
Foils: amzn.to/3myg5Bg
Tail Comb: amzn.to/41vRa00
Colour Bowl and Brush: amzn.to/3och76w

Step by Step Instructions:

To start, I parted my hair into three sections. The first parting was ear to ear, and the second was above the occipital bone.

Beginning with the first section at the bottom of my head, behind my ear, I took a small section of hair and placed it on a foil.

In a colour bowl, I mixed L'Oreal Studio Blonde 8 Multi-Techniques with 20 volume developer. This particular bleach is perfect for achieving multiple blonde shades, making it an ideal choice for back to back slice highlighting.

Using a tail comb, I applied the mixture to the small section of hair, making sure to coat it thoroughly from root to tip.

After applying the mixture, I placed the foil over the section of hair and folded it over, securing it in place.

I repeated this process, working my way back until the bottom section was complete.

Once the first section was finished developing, I removed the foils as and when that section was done, rather than waiting for all of them to finish developing.

I then repeated the same process on the next section and continued until all the hair in that section was in foil.

I left the mixture on until the colour lifted to the desired shade, checking it regularly.

After washing my hair with shampoo, I applied Olaplex part 2 to my hair, which helps to strengthen and protect the hair after bleaching.

Products You Will Need:

L'Oreal Studio Blonde 8 Multi-Techniques
20 Volume Developer
Foils
Tail Comb
Colour Bowl
Colour Brush
Olaplex Part 1 and Part 2
Conclusion:

Overall, using L'Oreal Studio Blonde 8 Multi-Techniques and the back to back slice highlighting technique allowed me to achieve a beautiful blonde transformation. Additionally, incorporating Olaplex part 1 and 2 helped to maintain the health and strength of my hair. You literally did a better job on your own head than any hairdresser I can find in my country 😭

As a hairdresser, I have been doing my own hair for more than 10 years. Fully foiled head, long, and thick, natural level 7!! I use 3 mirrors to do the back, it's difficult, but years of practice have made it easier. It definitely is a struggle and hours of work!!

This proves my point how important it is to not overlap. A professional hairdresser who won best stylist in the area overlapped, lied when I asked if she was overlapping, started in the back and let it cook the entire time and by the time it was washed out my hair was cotton. Had to cut it all off. All because of OVERLAP!!!!! I was helpless because she wasn’t listening and just kept lying about what she did to my hair. I protect my hair in everything I do so this was devastating. Her cop out was “this is what happens when you bleach hair” which of course is not true. I had my hair bleached for ten years and that stylist knew what she was doing so it never broke off.

YOU ARE INSANE!!! This came out gorgeous. I'm not sure if you mentioned if you're a professional hairdresser or not, but the time you put into this and taking your time! That's the part people miss. If you're going to do your own hair, just take your time!!! Even if it's foiling one section, waiting, then rinsing out or something. Looks amazing

You did amazing! It looks incredible. I just went dark from my blonde. I absolutely love blonde but my hair is almost black naturally and I want my hair very long and thick and I think that is even more beautiful

Well done!! It looks so fresh from the salon, and it suits you so much. And, as someone who has tried multiple times to go blonde at home, and failed most times - with this tutorial I would be confident to try again! Absolutely gorgeous! :)

Your video was the first video I've seen out of all the "do it at home" videos that did everything perfect. You didn't rush through any of the applying of the lightner to your hair and the time you took to explain each of the steps you took were so well done and easy to follow. When you finished, I was completely speechless. You're hair was gorgeous!! The only video that deserves PERFECT to describe it! WOW!!

This is the best video I’ve ever seen on YouTube of someone bleaching their own hair. Well done! It looks really good and blended. The blonde looks great on you and I think you could pull off any color imo 💗

This was fascinating, not only your understanding of the foil and slice placement on your head and how the bleached hair would fall, but also how calm you stayed during the process and managed to keep tabs on exactly when you did each part and which to take out! panicking and leaving different sections in for too long can all make self-bleaching so difficult, I only ever did my own blonde for 4 years after learning from YouTube, and after watching many "I bleached my hair at home!" This was the most complex but also the most well executed! It's one thing to have a plan and idea in your head, but you really stuck to it and it came out perfectly! I'm so so impressed with your control and again the timing of taking out and rinsing each section to make it all even!
