I wish I had the capability of a good friend but also wish I had honesty with those in the mofongo boys/fam. Knowing something like that for years is beyond me but for the week I did know, I wish I could rip my dna and had done the right thing and show something genuine but yet I was scared for selfish reasons and could have saved people their time and safety before a call out post was made.
NO ONE deserves doxxing and for the time kenji spent in fear for three years is something people need to understand more about and how horrible of an experience like that is.
I'll be going on my own now and try my best for the huge amount of support im recieving. Thank you, my only safe space is you guys.

Out of this entire situation, your apology and this video in general sounds the most straight forward. No yapping no avoiding the questions, it’s straight to the point and you know you’re somewhat in the wrong, you’ve acknowledged that. Hopefully people can move past this. Us as viewers cannot accept your apology as we’re not in the rights to, if kenji wants to forgive and just move on then he’s in his rights to do so, hopefully he receives some form of closure from all this.

Kami's apology seems genuine, he doesn't deflect and calls his decision of not immediately dissociating from them selfish. He was also the first one to tweet about leaving the Mofongo Boys, Phoenixx and Andy's posts came after. It shows that he's not afraid of taking accountability, something that the rest of the boys could learn from. Although Kenji and Kami were never on good terms, I can admire how they both showed respect for each other in this situation.

Kenji and maki have confirmed that Kami didn’t know anything about this until it all blew out. Andy, Phoenixx, and Kami never knew about the hate groups and were never a part of it. It was only kage that on the discord channel.

Kenji cleared your name as the only person who didn't know most of the time. I honestly don't think a week is long enough to reconcile what you learned against the people you thought you knew, so I don't think you should be so hard on yourself. It takes a while to process something like that and figure out what to do. The others don't really have an excuse for how long they knew. And of course Kage for being an extremely active, two-faced participant. I actually only found you because of the scandal, so hopefully you gain other subs as well.

Its genuinely incredible for me to see someone so straightforward on an apology, and so honest about it too.. My respect for Kami has reached a level that I wished had happened with my own previous oshis, this just shows who is behind the screen and character, I dont have much information on all this deal simply because it hit too close home, and maybe this will also help me heal from that trauma. You are incredible Kami, and I think more vtubers (and human beings) shoud be as honest as this, and as mature. What matters is that you talked about it instead of brushing it off, and that much is very appreciated.

Why is Kami's apology the most genuine when he's the one who didn't do anything wrong? Kami is fine, I know it must hurt him that your friends turn out to be dishonest people, but you are not alone.
