York is one of my favourite cities!! What a fantastic video!!! There is a shopping street in Harry Potter called Diagon Alley which I believe was based on the Shambles, hence all the Harry Potter shops. 😊 Also you missed my favourite street - Whip Ma Whop Ma Gate!!! 😂

I spent a week there back in 2013. There's a lot to take in for sure. I spent most of one day in the railway museum, and had a few good meals in the Golden Fleece. Didn't see any ghosts though.

We must have gone to York most weekends when we lived in Knaresborough. I'd recommend this as a must visit ahead of most other places in the UK....if you visit the UK and dont go to York, you've missed out.

Your filming skills and equipment make this a very realistic visit. 👍 Some vids are so HD they dont look real. This was just right. ....and just as I was writing this your text with the equipment and "is it alright?" came up. Haha. Perfect.

Our country's capital is truly magnificent, isn't it? I was there quite often when Coppergate was being excavated. It was fascinating to see people unearthing items that had been buried for centuries.

You've excelled yourself here Neil. This video should win an award. For a lover of medieval architecture, York is Nirvana and the Minster is Gothic at its superb best. The Shambles can be too crowded and there's a lot of Harry Potter cobblers 😲. I love your videos of the coast but this is brilliant 👍❤️👏👏👏

Old Son! just a suggestion... next time that you film York. How about incorporating some of the other City centre streets, that others may have not come across, as they are an intrisic part of the centre centre...Grape Lane, Finkle Street,Swinegate,Colliergate, and Musuem gardens. These are just as nice to walk down and through, and enjoy as many other parts of York.Finally...The River Cruise boats. If you get a 24 pack of Newcastle Brown Ale,and some chips. You then 'Hi-jack' the boat, and thrash it up and down the River Ouse, and capsize it,then swim to shore, and run off laughing, with a can of Newcastle Brown, and some soggy chips!!!😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 MAGNIFICENT, Old Son! LEGENDARY!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣You could even get a BAFTA,O
