This whole album is tremendously important to me for personal reasons. Everyone has at least one album that so strikingly captures a certain chapter of their life that it shakes them to their core, and for me, that album is Making Mirrors. I feel like this song so remarkably captures the essence of someone very important to me, and the situation she is facing with her husband. So indeed, I'm not the one being given a chance. If anything, I feel like the track that immediately follows this, "Save Me", more directly speaks to me.
