I just saw this guy perform in Toronto at The Opera House. He passed by while we were in line and said hi, and his band (maybe even him too) hung around after the show outside and talked to some people. I saw it happen but I had somewhere to be so I couldn't join in, but he's so incredibly sweet. The things he said mid-performance, and his interactions with his band members - he's such a lovely person. That's the best word I can think of for him. Lovely. I didn't know the words to most of his songs because I was there for a friend, but I'm so happy I went. His band was wonderful too, and seeing his pianist in tears had me in tears too. They're all such fantastic performers, and Stephen Sanchez has such an angelic and beautiful voice live. I'm just so happy I was there and so close to the stage, and it's an experience I'm never going to forget. Keep at it man!

He's the kind of artist that inspires other people. I'm 25, and I timelessly find myself in loops of 60s, 70s and 80s music. Stephen isn't just bringing good music back, he's encouraging musicians to practice the basics. I hope I too can make amazing music like this someday. Something around Funk and Acoustic Vocals.
