I would dispute a few of these points. Tigers may be more aggressive toward humans, but a male lion's sole job is to fight and protect the pride. They are highly evolved for fighting more than any other big cat.
I would also dispute the intelligence and athletic factors. Tigers are highly agile and athletic. Their larger size may give the lion a marginal speed advantage but I wouldn't say that makes them less athletic.
As for intelligence, I believe it's a difficult thing to measure with any degree of accuracy due to their different hunting strategies and environments, but while being a social animal like the lion definitely lends itself to certain advantages, the tiger does have the larger brain and has displayed the remarkable ability to seemingly understand concepts such as revenge, as we have seen evidence of them tracking down specific humans who have tried and failed to kill them.

Based on my survey of video of Tiger v lion skirmishes, male lions are more aggressive and ornery. Tigers seem more laid back and reactive. But that is where any advantages for lions end. Once engaged, the tiger has the upper hand. And speaking of hands, tigers use paw swipes more effectively.

Generally it depens of the individual animal,period!!! However the main difference is that tigers are hunters but male lions are warriors by there nature.
