The cats he got are up there with the best behaved cats i have ever seen. They just need time and space from the dog. But having a puppy bark non stop, he's lucky the cats didn't straight up fight his dog.

I've own both of these animals and i know for a fact they shouldn't of been introduced like this. The cats handled themselves very well in this situation, I feel as though speed needs to have more control over his dog and understand the animals different body language, the white cat was happy at first but you can see him getting kind of over how the dog doesn't leave him alone. If you wanted to introduce them like this straight away, the dog should be told to sit and scolded if he barked at the cats. I get that this is probably a new experience for speed but he definitely should've looked into how to introduce them before actually doing it, so that both the cats and his dog feel comfortable.

The dog can use some training. As a puppy, there's so much energy but if the dog can learn how to sit or leave it on command, it will allow the dog to be calm when you need him to be. Training is a good way to bond with your pets. If the dog knows when you dont like something, it will know to stop. If you train and establish a way to communicate with the dog, it will know when you want him to stop barking when needed. One thing I noticed at the end is when you slapped him on the butt, it was enough to stop him from barking. That was you communicating to him and him understanding. It showed that the dog is receptive to your commands but you will need to put in the time to establish that relationship

The best way to introduce them to each other is letting your cats stay in a room while you let your dog roam the house because cats need to get used to a small area before you let them get use to the entire house, If you give your dog a blanket for a few days to lay on it should have their scent on there and then you can introduce that to your cats slowly so they get use to the scent. And then you can introduce them by using the door as a barrier to keep them safe from each other until they have become familiar with each other. Once you are done doing that you can introduce them using a fence or a gate to be more open but also safe. It should have been a slow introduction not a face to face one cause as you could tell one cat was getting agitated and the other wanted to throw down already. I also made the same mistake but just got lucky cause my cat was chill.

20:00 Fr though - I kinda felt bad for the two cats, if I was taken and put in a room I'm unfamiliar with, by people I barely know, and had a dog twice my size getting in my face incessantly and barking - I'd be a little tense too. Those cats are amazing, the dog's good too, but the dog is a little too excited and pushy for the cat's liking - but if you keep them from fighting until they are somewhat used to each other, I feel they'd be fine - as long as they don't start a big fight. THEN you should worry, dogs forgive and forget, cats really hold a grudge - speaking from experience
