The greatest shotgun mic that stomps on everything since it's release in 1978. Even the horrible 416. Original, unchanged, classic, FET 80 circuit. No chips. No surface mount parts. Great film capacitors. Transformer-coupled output. Neumann's greatest era. The circuit complexity in this mic is the same circuit in the original issue of the u47 FET, as well as the reissue. So what does that mean? Perfect since the beginning. Don't be fooled by the word "vintage" in the used market. "Vintage" can still be had new.
