I'm partway through FFXIII right now (technically for the second time but I didn't get very far the first time). I know it's not exactly a /good/ game, but I'm having a lot of fun playing it and that's what matters to me.
This song (and the different variations of it) stuck out to me more than anything else I've heard of the soundtrack so far. Given how prominent it is I'm assuming it'll have more of an emotional impact on me once I'm through with the whole game, but even without the full context of the game it was nonetheless delightful to hear such a lovely arrangement of it.

Imma go right ahead and say that XIII and XIII-2 are my favorite Final Fantasy games and like 80% of the reason why is the soundtrack. If you did Noelβs Theme from XIII-2, I would cry buckets.

Back when I was studying music in college, I'd often go to the campus library and listen to the cutscenes from the game and music while I worked. I really miss those days.
