I just watched a sci-fi film this music projected in my head! No drugs! The plot was as follows: scientists visit a distant planet were a group settlers started a colony. After a while they discovered something was wrong. The settlers began forbidden genetic experiments. They got out of hand and they turned into genetics to fix the problem, only to mess things up even more. The visiting scientists had to organize a military-like operation to arrest the renegade scientists and seize control of the labs. Some returned to Earth while some decided not to return home but oversee the successful restoring of order in the colony.

If Ulrich Schnauss and Tangerine Dream had a melodic baby, it would be Solar Fields. The mixing and compositions are brilliant! I haven't been this excited about an artist in a while. There's so much restraint going on in terms of dynamics and chord progressions. The crescendos are great but he's always subverting your expectations in a sense (they kind of go where you expect it, but not really. It feels good while still being intriguing). I'm so glad that there's a deep discography to dig through; I won't be at a loss for new music for quite a while.

I discovered solar fields thanks to the wonderful OST of mirror's edge, and I came here expecting exactly that type of music, but I have to say this is even better than I expected! much love

Some parts resemble Jean-Michel Jarre so much, but are still Solar Fields and I see this as a huge compliment

The superlatives I could bestow always are overused... listening to Random Friday still as a psychedelic album, Until we meet the sky... and listening to this, so fucking grateful I have heard a real beautiful artist of my time blending electronic and classical movements... so beautiful mate...pure magic, keep up the good work... music is amazing
