I have last year's F1 2021 and if not for the fact F1 2022 will be crossplay ( In an upcoming update I understand) then I would pass. I am 67 and play games online with my son who lives 60 miles away. I have an xbox1, and he has a PS5. We play COD games together and wanted to race F1 together. So I guess I will be buying this. : )

If you're wondering why the 2022 game doesn't have the high-end whine of the 2021 game, it's due to a real-life regulation change which mandates the small wastegate exhaust to be connected to the main exhaust. Pre-2022, the wastegate exhaust could be separate from the main exhaust which led teams to exploit it for aerodynamic gains. The 2022 regulations have now outlawed this.

I know it's very similar to last year's game and I know it's owned by EA now, but the Codemaster games have never really been about visual improvements but more about the cars and the experience, and looking at the new features and physics updates I think it's worth a buy, at least from me who actually watches the real season. It is a little pricey for some physics and gameplay updates, so maybe for more casual players it would be better to stick with 2021 or 2020.
Loving the video as always, but I was also wondering if we could maybe see some gameplay comparison in the future?

Ah I forgot to put a note in during the sound section about how the engines are different in the cars so they should sound different regardless. Oh well ๐คทโโ Anyway - content is slow these few weeks because I'm hard at work on the next big documentary. More info coming soon :)
