The bombards are stupid..if a counter units needs to shoot 10x on it...need 3 culverins to one shot one, which cost you already 3k. If they have 2 bombards , the second one shots your culverin

what even is the counter to someone who uses every unit? is it to respond with your civs strong unit and just use it in a mono army? That could be the answer.

I don't have the game yet because I'm waiting for a sale, but I don't understand how you're supposed to beat the Ottomans. With your passive unit production, you can play greedy with booming and not be punished for it. Not to mention how it insulates you from raids, as you'll produce units even if all your workers are idled. And if your booming economy and extra units haven't already overwhelmed your enemy, just retreat to your base and go imperial. Then chill there until you have like 5 great bombards and several springalds, and no enemy army or defensive structure can stand against you

Great casting! Yes, Drongo there is historical facts in AOE4. Great bombards allowed Turks to conquer Constantinapolis and end the Byzantine Empire.

Overall, great plays from both sides. Though, it would be nice to see both players using forward villagers more.
Especially when siege weapons are so often exposed to the villagers just rushing them, forcing them to retreat or the army reposition for very little cost. Especially when they are so fast due to wheelbarrow and the players are not adding in horsemen 🏇 so they cannot be chased down.
Attacking siege weapons won't be the main use of forward villagers, but it being another payoff makes the strategy much better.

Drongo, there's one thing you should know about the Ottomans: the great bombard was the epitome of technology in the 15th century. How dare they nerf it... This is insulting to the Ottoman name!
