This happens to everyone. My Dad was born in 1933 and his music was the big bands and swing of the 40s and 50s. He passed away in 2020 and that was still âhis music.â Of course he listened to music of later eras, but everyone is always nostalgic and has a preference for the music of their youth, when life was still carefree.

I love how this song is 17 years old and it makes a reference to "music still on MTV." That's how old the complaint about MTV not playing music anymore is (and it's much older than this video!) A lot of people who complain about it probably never were alive when MTV mostly still played music.
