Only Cody Fry could make getting hit by a train sound magical.

4:12 The line "suddenly I'm floating" added with that dissonant slide of the brass makes it feel like that's the exact moment the train hits. It's such a perfect lead-in to the climax of the song and gives me chills every time.

This is most likely not an important thing but I truly appreciate the way he allows both his vocals and the symphony to shine, as I find that most artists will tune down a symphony to sit underneath the vocals, whereas heā€™s hit a perfect blend where I can be floored by orchestral melodies and brass chords while being taken over by lyrics.

Can we take a moment to appreciate just how amazing Cody is as a conductor! Clear, precise, elegant, all entrances and time changes are so easy to readā€¦ Iā€™d play for him any day.

4:15 has a moment where the horns sound like the horn of a train passing by signifying the train passing even if we were in the track. Cody Fry did it again, gives me chills, even when being hit by a train.

I showed this song to my mom, and she said it sounds like my dad (who passed from COVID 6 months ago). And it makes sense: being submerged in this complete darkness in some other world, underground, and alone. Searching for some sort of safe haven. And finally, this light breaking through the darkness. And it's terrifying, and beautiful, and warm. She sees my dad waiting for her in that light. They'll be reunited underground, always finding each other in every lifetime.

Somewhere around 3:30 you could see him slightly smiling through singing. I couldnā€™t imagine how heā€™s feeling right now, after all that hard work heā€™s finally heā€™s finally there, leading an orchestra.

My timeline of reactions: Seeing this on recommended: audibly gasping First 20 seconds: I literally had to sit down Next minute: melting 2:05: smiling because guitar and Cody :) 3:07: further melting 3:58 CHILLS 4:05: woAh the LIGHTS 4:59: letting out a deep breath I didn't know I was holding because the SUSPENSE was built up subliminally (like, what a pro, this Cody Fry guy)

You are the only artist whose songs are placed in both my "jams" and "instrumental' playlist.

The final "I can see you now" is love, despair, regret and hope, meshed into one phrase. It's so powerful.

Can we just appreciate at 4:16 how it sounds like a train passing? Such a small detail and it gives me chills every time

This is why Cody Fry is my favorite artist. The growth of the song and how he phrases everything is purely spectacular. Touring soon? I would love to go see a concert or orchestra.

I just hope that Cody sees how much we love his orchestral arrangements and continues to write music like this. We need more music like this and we thank you for it!

This is the only song where saying ā€œit made me want to get hit by a trainā€ is actually a compliment.

My jaw is literally on the ground and I actually teared up a little when "and the ground began to shake" started. This whole piece is just phenomenal.
