Concerning AIRBNB in october 2023 following a court case with Guardia di Finanza (Fiscal Authority) Airbnb is due to pay the "cedolare secca" a tax on rent. This means that airbnb has to declare each property they rented and the corresponding address (Airbnb collects the taxes an forward it to the authority) and therefore the fiscal authority knows which property and the owner who rented the house, meaning they will find out the owners identity and if they pay taxes on the property.

Yes, but you mentioned Ireland as if it were non- European. I have an Irish passport which is a European passport. I think you mean Northern Ireland part of the U.K, though most Northern Irish have duel nationality.
