Iāve š©·ād the Manchester Orchestra ever since I heard their song āThe Silenceā (at the Regency IIRC). Itās a combo of the vocals and lyrics that get me every time! Iām so glad to have found this new one of theirs, and hope to see more from them! While many of the lyrics to their songs are somewhat ambiguous, this one is an exception imo. Iām retired now and going on 70, but for those who DK what it is, and/or arenāt aware, Fentanyl is NOT always a ābadā drug. Having been in the medical profession, itās commonly used during surgical procedures in general anesthesia, and as a prescription (like morphine) for severe chronic pain. It comes in the form of a patch that releases a controlled, regulated, amount of the substance lasting several days before needing to be replaced, for example. Unfortunately it is also used for illegal recreation purposes, not monitored, and thus IS dangerous. * I havenāt heard the song/lyrics often enough yet to know for certain, but I believe that in this case they are referring specifically to the latter in the context. * I this helps to clarify the meaning behind this song for people who arenāt clear about it š¤.
