The kai version is very heartwarming emotional driven with an amazing vegeta scream in the end, while the original version with bruce faulconer score and vegeta dialogue "I'm gonna crush and throw you into the wind" made it more badass both scenes are equally great.

Vegeta tapped his son on the head because he wanted him knocked out in the easiest way possible. When it came to Goten he was like "Fuck you little Kakarot" and nailed him in the stomach.
