Iāve been off track for a long time lately. Been talking more than doing, and honesty was lazy for a while.
But, lately Iāve been changing things. I never really confronted my past as much as I said, I never really fixed my mind from it, so I gave myself a pep talk out loud in the basement, confronting it all and even coming to tears for it. But Iām fixing things.
Iāve met a girl who I gotta make smile, I have my family counting on me and I have ME counts on me. No more stalling, itās taken 17 years but Iām finally done with that past. Iāve gotta be there for people and thatās what Iām gonna do, no more starting and stopping. Iām just gonna go, and this time Im not letting anything get in the way

You are so needed today. The new year2023. I have cut people and things out of my life. Stop trying to please and help everyone. Put a stop to all the stupid things in my life. Get up early make my whole day count. Life changing has to start with myself. I can't worry about what all people think of me at all. Get off of my ass and take my life back from all if the things that no place in my life. Dropping a lot of useless things OUT of my being here. Take the worry out of my head. Back story:
-Got sick as a kid (strokes).
-Sat on my ass feeling sorry for myself
-Tried college a bunch
-Failed!
-Found a niche skill in Blueprints
-Got fired a bunch of times
-Started Contracting with an Engineer
-Things looked good
-Covid hit
-Everything went to shit
-Evicted
-Became a live in Couch Potato at a friends
Started listening...
-Moved back
-Went to College without any of my own money (scholarships and bursaries)
Last 16 months back story:
-Went back to college
-Hussled like nobody's business
-Started passing classes
-Graduating with distinction (Honours Roll)
Current state:
-Starting a new career path as a safety inspector
-Still making blueprints (but now at a reasonable rate instead of peanuts)
-Now I help people go from idea to an actual working model of their project
-Still just stretching my legs and getting used to being on top
Future Plan:
-I WILL roar & you WILL hear it

This video really hit home. I am currently working on myself by taking a break from school and career by working at a less demanding job. I had graduated with a graduate degree into the most depressing job market I have ever experienced. My profession is in low demand and the average salary is straight disrespectful. Nevertheless, I've decided to take this year off to work on myself by working out to the fitness standards when I was a young recruit as well as studying to prepare for another more useful degree. I am thankful that the discipline I learned as a soldier has given me motivation to push myself both mentally and physically these months. To whoever is listening to these podcasts, I wish you success as well!
