My Grandpa passed away a couple days ago. He was like a father to me. He supported me and my sisters when we called DCS. He tried talking sense into my dad. He met my boyfriend and gave him advice and encouragement. He gave me my photography equipment, all my cameras. He gave me a sense of hope and advice I can't forget. Hospice said cancer would give him at least two weeks. Two days later he was gone. I visited a few days before. I thought I could see him one more time, maybe twice before he left. I think it's time to make an edit to my comment. I'm not sure when I originally wrote this but it's coming up on the 3 year anniversary of her passing. I still visit her, I still wonder what could of happened. But that's not important anymore. If anyone has a similar struggle, mourn but continue your life. Do what she would have wanted you to do. Buddy of mine called 4 years ago and told me he had cancer. He fought his battle until last year when he learned that he was terminal. He lived out his last days happily, and he was able to accept it. Last week, the inevitable arrived. Miss you a million, buddy. Fly high.
