Elden Ring won because of it's memes and the cultural phenomenon it became within the gaming community. GOW Ragnarok is a fantastic game and these points are a bit nitpicky. The first one had the same status as Elden Ring when it first came out because of the long wait for a true sequel within the series and the fact that it was a complete departure from it's predecessors.

I agree with every single part of the video. I would add one thing thooo. There was not nearly enough violence. I wanted to see gods getting ripped apart and Kratos climbing on to a huuuuuge monster to kill him, but no. He had to become a peacful God. They should've honestly killed Atreus and made Kratos go crazy

Some or most of this it’s because of 3 rules that Corly Barlog put in the game, 1 brok had to die, 3 Atreus had to go away in the end, 2 the ragnarok had to happen, which is the rule that didn’t affected the game. AND ALSO DONT YOU DARE TO SAY THE AMAZING AND EMOTIONAL ENDING IS HORRIBLE THAT ENDING WAS THE PART WHERE THE GHOST OF SPARTA DIED AND KRATOS WILL BE A GOD THAT EVERYONE LOVES AND ITS THE TIME WHERE ATREUS IS READY TO DO HIS MISSION ALONE TO TURN INTO A MAN, AND THAT SCENE WHERE THEY HUGGED EACH OTHER AFTER KRATOS SAID LOKI WILL GO, ATREUS STAYS WAS SO EMOTIONAL. And Atreus wasn’t chaching Angrdboda she is in Johtuhain.

I honestly thought this was sarcasm at first because my opinions on this game we're so different. I don't mean that in a bad way just that it seemed so crazy to me that someone didn't enjoy this game. Sorry this game was a disappointment to you but I thought it was as good if not better than 2018.

While still a good game, it falters heavily. The most anticipated boss fights were underwhelming compared to Baldur and the writing was really bad.
While performances were good, the use of modern dialogue was jarring and felt out of place.
The Fenrir plot went nowhere. You'd think he'd be instrumental in defeating Odin.
The Jormingandur plot went nowhere. You'd think he'd be instrumental in defeating Thor.
The Sutr plot went nowhere. His transformation was pursued so that they might break through the walls of Asgard. They did that without him.
The destruction of asgard meant nothing, as the main antagonists were dead already and the other Aesir had joined the good guys.
The mask plot went nowhere. It was merely a mccguffin with no pay off.
Broks death changed nothing. It's not like they wouldnt have gone to war, were he still alive. Nor was it as though Sindri wouldnt have helped with the destruction of the siege weapon.
The new characters were cringe. I hated both imposter and Tai chi Tyr.
The moment I finished the main story, I knew Elden Ring would be game of the year.

You can upgrade Freya to have 4 arrows and her skill with both her sword is pretty useful for dps, I’d argue that introducing those extra characters made the world feel a lot bigger, one thing that confused me throughout the previous game was, where the hell is everyone, also I liked Lunda
