Dave is a lot nicer than many who appear on this show. He had one failed marriage when very young & his next wife cheated on him. It almost happen to my mom. She lives alone in an apartment building and got a message from a guy claiming to be a General in the US army. Then told her he was out on a top secret mission and needed phone cards. My mom was convinced that he was telling the truth and tried to get my brother to get her 250.00 of apple cards. But being in the army myself, I had to give her a talking to. Then put on 'Scammer Payback' to show her. One day, I went over and she was doing laundry. She went to go down the hallway to throw it in the dryer and left her cell phone beside her chair. I grabbed that phone quick and blocked him on Facebook!!! Problem solved!!!

As someone who works for a suicide prevention line. I really hope there is follow up therapy being provided to these people. I've had callers who were going to end their lives over these scams.
