This is not only the best and clearest video on how to actually use Notion as a tool, but it is one of the best long form tutorials I've seen in ages. Echoing what basically every other comment here is saying - your pacing and level of detail are spot on. I was able to follow the thread you were weaving throughout the entire lesson, and most importantly two things - you tell us the WHY of everything you're doing and you present it in a CONTEXT. i am maybe a quarter way thru this video and I am obsessed. I am a librarian who does a ton of research for work and reading for fun and am looking for a way to keep it all straight. I definitely need to mess around with these systems but I found this video when I was looking at videos on Notion and I am glad I did, because the ease of adding metadata is sooo appealing!

Thank you for this video Carter. This is definitely a "must see" video for Notion starters like me. I went to a few videos before this one and was very confused and almost decide not to use Notion, but what I was missing was a video like this, with a walk through on the tool, with the very important things that newbies should know. The explanations are very clear, easy to understand; the pace is just right and the video structure is also very good. Keep it going!
I'm now already designing my DBs and getting ready to use Notion as my primary tool.

I absolutely love the prioritisation formula you created (starts at 54:53) !! Notion has already been such an amazing help with my ADHD and keeping track of and organizing tasks and thoughts — adding a more objective way to prioritize is exactly what I was still missing.
