I like how Tennis TV was allowed to show Grand Slam footage this time. Goes to show Roger was truly the best๐Ÿ˜‡

The final title 103 in Basel, the home of Roger Federer, was a fitting end to the great career!

My favourite athlete :(( the day has come, been through the ups and downs, Iโ€™ll never forget how he won the AO in 17, Wimbledon in 17 & AO again in 18. Proved everyone wrong & helped inspired a martial artists like myself. Iโ€™m now 23 years old but tennis was the first sport I loved growing up! Thank you for everything! All aboard the fedexpress!

Started as a ball boy in Basel and last career title in Basel. A fairytale finish for this legend! Thanks Roger for everything!

When I watched that Basel tournament in 2019, I could not have imagined, that it would have been his last title. He just wiped the floor with everyone.

The number of titles does not matter. Many of us who didn't watch tennis fell in love with his game, with the quality he had. He led tennis to become a much more popular sport. Mark an era. Without a doubt, he is the best of all time. We're going to miss you so much, Roger. I love you โค๏ธ๐ŸŽพ๐Ÿ‘‘

2003- 2010 Federer was unreal. Gotta feel for Roddick though, the look of resignation at the end when he throws his racket. He couldn't have done any more to get that elusive Wimby title, despite being one of the greatest grass-court players of all time

From 2004-2007, Roger was a winning machine! Outside of Nadal on clay, he was barely losing matches. Arguments can be made about who is the GOAT, but Federer will always be the GOAT to me. I think he had the highest peak of anyone in the history of the game.

I was just a child when he was starting to win slams, now I'm 32 years old. Unbelievable. Now I feel like part of my childhood retired with Roger today. What a sad day this is, but also one to remember how much joy and excitement he gave to all of us. Thank you Roger ๐ŸŽพ

Such a shame his knees denied him further titles in the last two years. No tennis player or other ahtlete has ever astounded me as much as Federer. The things he could do on a tennis court were just out of this world and totally unrivaled. He will be deeply missed on the courts. Thank you Roger forever for all the breathtaking entertainment! <3

Roger is my GOAT. Reason I felt in love with tennis. I discontinued watching tennis after him but alcaraz with attacking game and Roger as blueprint has raised hopes. But no one will replace Roger for me๐Ÿฅฐ

Is a very sad day, no? Roger has been a great friend and ombeliable rival for me. Without a doubt, he is one of the best in the history. I know that we cannot say that he will stop playing, but I know that we will still play together again. And hopefully Igonnacometoswitzerland soon to play maybe another special match for our foundations, no?
